When The Digital Signage Group, Poulsbo, Wash., recently announced the winners of its 2007 Digi Awards competition, the first award was given for the best Local Retail Campaign, and Aurora Multimedia’s Dido Jr. was a critical element in the winning design.

Be Media, a digital signage integrator from El Segundo, Calif., designed and implemented a custom video wall at The Saleen Store for Saleen, Inc.

The designers at Be Media used the Aurora Multimedia Dido Jr. to provide realtime video rotation and a high-resolution, portrait video wall effect of flatpanel displays. The displays are lined up side-by-side and mounted in portrait position. The video content is distributed across the displays and scaled to maximize the capabilities of each display. The affect is very dramatic and fast. Both realtime video rotation and rotated video wall features are patents pending held by Aurora Multimedia.

Dido Jr. is a video wall processor and video image rotation engine. Integrators can design video walls with up to 64 monitors, and the monitors can be mounted in portrait position. Dido Jr’s image quality is visibly superior to much more expensive video wall processors, and it gives any integrator the ability to produce a high-quality video wall.

On-screen display menus make the Dido Jr. relatively easy to set up. Input and output resolutions are completely customizable to match the displays’ optimal resolutions, and user presets allow for simple manipulation of the video wall. For more information, visit www.auroramultimedia.com.
