VPX: Slower switch time between encoders local HDMI inputs, and encoders HDMI output
Slower local switch:
The switch time between local inputs is dependent on the display itself and its ability to re-sync to the new video timing information. Since there is no scaling on the local output of an encoder, the connection is essentially "broken" when switching between HDMI inputs 1 and 2, and then a new connection is re-established by the local display.
If the video timing information does not match, then the display may take longer to renegotiate the new video timing information. You may get a quicker lock on the signal if the timing information is closer to the local display's preferred timings, but this is not an indication of the VPX's inability to switch inputs more so than it is an indication that the model of display connected to the encoder is not able to quickly lock on to a new input resolution.
Switching to Stream:
Switching speed of the local encoder inputs to a decoder with scaling turned on, will negate any timing renegotiation done by the local monitor.
